Our story

The idea for AiSight is born

Matthias is working at a major automotive company. He realizes that maintenance operations within the industry continue to face substantial challenges. There’s room for innovation in the field, and with advanced Ai technology, a solution is possible. The idea for AiSight comes to life.

2018

July

Matthias and Max start AiSight

Max complements Matthias with his Sales and Marketing background and together, they found AiSight. They win the Berliner Startup Stipendium at HTW Berlin, which allows them to work full-time on their idea and bring the concept to fruition.

$250,000 pre-seed round

AiSight makes it into the HAX Accelerator Program and receives first Investment by SOSV. It’s the world’s largest hardware accelerator, based in San Francisco and Shenzen. Only 5 teams out of +1000 are selected.

October

3 Months at HAX Shenzhen

Renan joins the team. Together, they join the HAX program and AiSight spends 3 months in Shenzen to develop the first sensor prototypes.

November

The first 2 customer projects go live

The first AiSight sensor nodes are installed at 2 customers from the German SME landscape.

$2,500,000 seed round

$2.5 million seed round closed with Palo Alto-based Merus Capital and HAX/SOSV signing on as investors. Many major multinational companies begin using the AiSight solution.

AiSight is featured in the Forbes 30under30

AiSight is featured in the Forbes 30under30 2020 Europe Manufacturing category. Meanwhile, the team grew and moved to a new office in Berlin Mitte.

AiSight is now part of Sensirion Connected Solutions.

The acquisition by Sensirion, a globally leading manufacturer of digital microsensors, brings hardware development expertise and long-term stability to AiSight.
